Kimmo Lylykangas (born 1970 in Helsinki) is Finnish architect who since 2018 works as professor of architecture and the head of Academy of Architecture and Urban Studies at Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia. Prof Lylykangas was leading the project that created the Estonian method for carbon footprint assessment for construction works, and was also the leader of the QGasSP project proposing a European method on the GHG accounting for spatial planning, financed by ESPON EGTC. Currently his research team is working on a variety of greenhouse gas quantification methods and tools that are developed as open source projects. Research interests: greenhouse gas quantification, sustainability in architecture, wood architecture.
The second international Drivers for Wood Construction event will be held in Joensuu 15.-16.5.2023 with the theme Holistic Approach Towards Sustainable Wood Construction.
